Building Through Systems and Learning

DPDP Compliance Analyzer
I built the DPDP Compliance Analyzer as an individual course project to analyze company privacy policies against India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act. The problem was difficult because a labeled DPDP dataset was not publicly available, so I adapted an existing GDPR dataset and designed a hybrid pipeline instead of relying on a single model. I implemented preprocessing, semantic embeddings with Sentence-BERT, Bidirectional LSTM-based classification, rule-based verification, risk scoring, compliance gap detection, and a Streamlit interface for usability. This project proved that I can take an ambiguous real-world problem, break it into components, and build a practical intelligent system under imperfect data conditions.
Impact: Built independently as a full pipeline system | Solved a real compliance analysis use case with hybrid validation
IndiUrbanClean
IndiUrbanClean was a 3-person computer vision project focused on urban waste classification in an Indian context. We collected and scraped around 2,000 images across 5 classes, then experimented with different modeling approaches including ResNet and transformers. My contribution focused on data collection and training ResNet-18 models, including freezing different layers to compare performance under transfer learning. The project showed that I can contribute meaningfully to applied ML experimentation and evaluate model behavior with a practical engineering mindset.
Impact: 93% accuracy on a held-out test set | ~2,000 images collected across 5 classes
Bugify - Bug Tracking System
Bugify was an individual full stack course project built to understand how application systems work from backend to frontend. The goal was to create a platform where teams could report, manage, and track software bugs through a simple workflow. I implemented REST APIs, JWT-based authentication, MongoDB integration, testing with pytest, and GitHub Actions to run the test suite on every code change, with a lightweight frontend in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This project proved that I enjoy building the structural backbone of applications and making software components work together reliably.
